- Eicon Technology's SNA Gateway is a sophisticated communications product that
- provides micro-to-mainframe connectivity to standalone and LAN-based PC UNIX
- workstations. SNA Gateway supports SDLC or X.25/QLLC with full support for
- Node Types 1, 2, 2.1, and LU Types 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 6.2, and 7. Clients on LAN
- Manager IPX or TCP/IP LANs using DOS, OS/2, and Windows applications can use
- the SNA LAN Gateway as though each had a network connection. The SNA Gateway
- makes use of the EiconCard, an intelligent communications adapter, which
- supports up to 254 simultaneous connections, and/or sessions. Up to 32 PUs
- can be active per EiconCard, with up to four EiconCards per SNA Gateway
- workstation. The SNA Gateway includes emulation of the following IBM devices:
- remote 3X74s, local 3174, 5251, and 5294 Control Units. SNA Gateway supports
- the Eicon Technology terminal emulation software and applications developed
- with Eicon Technology SNA Toolkits for DOS, OS/2, and Windows clients.
